All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has relieved its President Ganesh Thapa and Treasurer Biratjung Shahi of their respective posts for two months. The information was shared at a press conference held at the ANFA Complex at Satdobato on Monday.
The post of President will be assumed by ANFA Vice President Lalit Krishna Shrestha while the responsibility of the post of Treasurer will be assumed by assistant-Treasurer Rabindra Joshi, it was informed.
It may be noted that the Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee has issued an order barring ANFA President Thapa and Treasurer Shahi from carrying out any works in the Association.
Meanwhile, the Association meeting held on Monday took the decision to start the National Football League from December 8. At least 11 teams will participate in the tournament.
The winning team will walk home with Rs. 10 million while each of the participating teams will receive Rs. 1.5 million for preparation.
